We think that workplace culture plays a very important role in the overall success of our firm and the experience of our clients – team members who enjoy coming to work and like where they work are always going to go above and beyond. That is why we put such strong emphasis on who we hire and how they fit into our team – they have to care about the work they do and the experience of their clients as much as the rest of us do!
We’re proud of the team that we have built and that fact that we all actually like coming to work, we’re also proud that so many of our team stick around for the long-haul!
For example, our Administration Assistant, Trish Boyle joined our firm one years ago today (17th of October 2018)! So we decided to see why she has stuck around and what she is looking forward to in the future.
Catching up with Trish to reflect on her year at Gouldson Legal
How is Gouldson Legal different to other places you’ve worked at?
This is the first time I have worked for a Law Firm, so naturally it’s pretty different to the other places I have worked – but I really enjoy it!
It’s rewarding being part of a firm that invests its skills and expertise helping those that require help and guidance in their time of need. We are also lucky to work in a dog friendly office, how good is that?
How would you describe the culture at Gouldson Legal in 5 words?
Compassionate, Focused, Fun, Rewarding & Supportive.
What is your favourite thing about your role at Gouldson Legal?
I enjoy having a variety of different tasks and projects presented to me in my role. In the area of Administration, it can get quite busy so I am fortunate to work with a crew that are happy to jump in to help whenever needed.
Our firm has also created a pleasant and functional environment in our workplace – we just moved offices so it’s nice to settle into a beautiful new space, with lots of plants and light, it makes work that little bit nicer!
How do you think the firm, and your role, will change in the coming year?
We are a growing firm, with new team members joining us all the time, and have just recently moved to a new purpose-built office to cater for this, it’s a beautiful space and refreshing to come in to each day.
My role is ever changing, as it adapts to the needs of the firm, which includes new systems and new tasks – which keeps things interesting. I am excited for the future prospects of the firm!
Most importantly, where are you planning your next holiday?!
My next Holiday will be by the beach in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast. I enjoy being by the ocean and love to indulge in wining, dining and shopping, which is in abundance at this destination.
