Here at Gouldson Legal we are proud to employ a team of experts, who really care about the outcomes we achieve for our clients – from our dedicated administration staff all the way through to our senior legal team.
We think that workplace culture plays a very important role in the overall success of our firm and the experience of our clients – team members who enjoy coming to work and like where they work are always going to go above and beyond. That is why we put such strong emphasis on who we hire and how they fit into our team – they have to care about the work they do and the experience of their clients as much as the rest of us do!
We’re proud of the team that we have built and that fact that we all actually like coming to work, we’re also proud that so many of our team stick around for the long-haul!
For example, Heather Lyndon, Assistant to our Director, has been with our firm six years today (9th of January 2018)! So we decided to see why she has stuck around and what she is looking forward to in the future.
Catching up with Heather to reflect on her six years at Gouldson Legal
What is your favourite thing about working at Gouldson Legal?
For me, it’s knowing that we all work hard to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients.
What was the firm like when you started?
I originally started with the firm as a legal assistant, working on client’s files and assisting with the day-to-day of running client matters. After a little while in this position, I then stepped into my current role as Faran’s assistant, helping him to manage everything he has to do and assist in managing the office.
I’ve learnt a lot in the six years I’ve been here and have seen the hard work that goes on behind the scenes — both to get great outcomes for our clients and to make sure the business runs smoothly.
How has the firm changed in your time here?
The firm has grown so much over the past year as a result of our marketing team’s efforts. Everyone is so much busier now, but the main focus of the firm continues to be looking after clients and being there for them as they negotiate the often difficult path to settlement of their claim.
What are you looking forward to in your coming year with Gouldson Legal?
Learning yet another skill – how to effectively manage and relocate an office! We’re at capacity at our current office and will be moving in 2018 — I’m looking forward to our office having more of a ‘natural’ feel rather than an ‘office’ feel.
How do you spend your time away from the office?
Like my Monday to Friday, the weekends are also busy but if I can squeeze in an afternoon nap at some stage and see my parents, then it’s been a good weekend.
