Here at Gouldson Legal we are proud to employ a team of experts, who really care about the outcomes of our clients – from our dedicated administration staff all the way through to our senior legal team.
We think that workplace culture plays a very important role in the overall success of our firm and the experience of our clients – team members who enjoy coming to work and like where they work are always going to go above and beyond. That is why we put such strong emphasis on who we hire and how they fit into our team – they have to care about the work they do and the experience of their clients as much as the rest of us do!
We’re proud of the team that we have built and that fact that we all actually like coming to work, we’re also proud that so many of our team stick around for the long-haul!
For example, our Receptionist, Amanda Ghion joined our firm two years ago today (4th of July 2018)! So we decided to see why she has stuck around and what she is looking forward to in the future.

How is Gouldson Legal different to other places you’ve worked at?
Having worked as a receptionist at different types of organisations there are definitely elements of my work that are similar – especially when comparing to other Law Firms. At Gouldson however, the tasks in this role are more varied than previous roles, each day I am met with something different to do – which I love. I also have more responsibility and autonomy in my role which is something that I really enjoy!
My favourite aspect about being a receptionist is I get to deal with our clients and our new enquiries each day. I truly have a passion working for Gouldson and enjoy it more and more as the time goes on.
How would you describe the culture at Gouldson Legal in 5 words?
Genuine, compassionate, encouraging, caring, loyal, and hard-working. I needed more than five words!
What is your favourite thing about your role at Gouldson Legal?
Client contact and being the face of the firm. I am the first point of call for the phone, online enquiries and with our form enquiry. I am certainly doing a job that I love here and feel very blessed and proud to be the a representative of the business.
My favourite day of the week would have to be Thursday when my boss brings in his puppies, Hugo and Harriet. They bring such happiness to the everyone here.
How do you think the firm, and your role, will change in the coming year?
We are getting busier as a firm which will affect all of our roles of course – for me it will mean busier days on the phones and welcoming clients into the office as well as assisting others with administration.
We also have our office move coming up, which is exciting. I am looking forward to the change and our new beautiful office space and my new reception desk.
Most importantly, where are you planning your next holiday?!
In August I’m going to Noosa hinterland for four days, it might be a little chilly but I’m definitely looking forward to some quiet time and to be around nature! In October my partner and I are going on a four day Cruise for my birthday. It will be my first ever cruise so I’m very excited about that!
