We think that workplace culture plays a very important role in the overall success of our firm and the experience of our clients – team members who enjoy coming to work and like where they work are always going to go above and beyond. That is why we put such strong emphasis on who we hire and how they fit into our team – they have to care about the work they do and the experience of their clients as much as the rest of us do!
We’re proud of the team that we have built and that fact that we all actually like coming to work, we’re also proud that so many of our team stick around for the long-haul!
For example, Sophie Waples, our Accounts Manager, has been with our firm two years today (18th of January 2018)! So we decided to see why she has stuck around and what she is looking forward to in the future.
Catching up with Sophie to reflect on her two years at Gouldson Legal
What is your favourite thing about working at Gouldson Legal?
The best thing about working at Gouldson Legal would definitely have to be the office dogs. They really brighten everyone’s day when they come in and they definitely boost moral!
What was the firm like when you started?
The firm was much smaller when I first started and we have definitely grown a lot over the past year. A lot of fresh faces also started last year who have been a great addition to our growing team.
How has the firm changed in your time here?
When I first started working at Gouldson Legal I was in an admin role rather than an assistant role, so throughout the last year I have had the opportunity to grow into a different position and learn new things.
The general structure of how we operate as a team has had a bit of a change over the last few months which is great to see as we are able to do even more for our clients. The team structure which we have now moved into, allows us to really work as a team to get the best outcome for our clients.
What are you looking forward to in your coming year with Gouldson Legal?
I am looking forward to being able to learn and grow even more into my current role. Hopefully this year will bring about some new opportunities and challenges for our team to tackle.
How do you spend your time away from the office?
I’ve been spending most of my time outside of work on further study, and that will likely be no different this year!
