It was an amazing afternoon down at Sylvan Road, Toowong, last Sunday as we watched Brothers get a late win over Ashgrove GPS in the Hospital Cup knockout final.
Of course, cheering along in the stands was our very own Faran Gouldson.
Gouldson’s relationship with Brothers stretches back well over a decade, and we’re proud to support such an amazing club and team.
With a team studded with 11 past and present Super Rugby players, the quality of the Brothers outfit shone through in their gutsy defence in the final 15 minutes of the game.
With a halftime score of 13-all, the quality of James O’Connor proved to be the difference with two pivotal plays that sealed the match for the boys in the blue and white.
While it’s thrown around a lot as a cliché, Brothers truly are a family club. The bond between the players of all levels, of coaches, staff, parents and friends is apparent for all to see — a key reason why Gouldson has, for over a decade, and continues to be, a major partner and sponsor of the club.
Just as we support Brothers’, Brothers support us. Back in 2018 Gouldson, along with our official charity partner Burnslife, held a charity day at the club. It was an opportunity for the Brothers family to get to know Burnslife and all the amazing work they do and symbolised the bond between the club and its members.
Fast forward four years, and the bond between Gouldson and Brothers is still as strong as ever.
For anyone at the game, or watching along at home, you would have seen the Gouldson logo pride of place on the Brothers’ jersey.

You don’t have to be a rugby tragic (although, we are) to get excited seeing some of the brightest talent in Queensland rugby running around the park with the Gouldson logo on their shirt — and winning!
As a major sponsor of the club, Gouldson can’t wait to back Brothers into hopefully their first title since 2016.
However, ahead of them lays a tough knockout semi-final against UQ this weekend at 3:10pm this Saturday at Bond University. Win that, and we’re off to the big dance.
If you have the afternoon, be sure to catch Brothers live on Stan Sport or, if you have the time, head down to Bond for a great afternoon, supporting grassroots rugby and a magnificent club.
From everyone here at Gouldson, best of luck to the Brothers boys!
