Our People
Faran Gouldson, Legal Practice Director
The firm commenced in 1999 in partnership with Kerry Shine. Faran specialises in injury compensation claims for all kinds of injuries:-
- Work accident claims (workers compensation);
- Car accident claims;
- Public Place accident claims;
- Superannuation disability claims.
Faran has a special interest in serious injury compensation claims – catastrophic injuries, brain injuries, back injuries, psychiatric/psychological injuries, and all other injury compensation claims.

Govinda Le Guinio, Senior Associate
Govinda joined Gouldson Legal as an Articled Clerk in August 2000. He holds a Bachelor of Laws with second class honours and a Bachelor of Science in Australian Environmental Studies from Griffith University. After completing his Articles of Clerkship, Govinda was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in January 2003. He has in excess of 8 years experience in personal injury practice, specializing in all areas of claims:WorkCover claims (work accidents), Car accident claims, Public place accident claims and Superannuation disability claims.

Rowena Ferrall, Senior Associate
Rowena is a solicitor specialising in Plaintiff personal injury claims under the WorkCover Queensland Act and Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act, Motor Accident Insurance Act and Personal Injuries Proceeding Act. Rowena is a solicitor specialising in Plaintiff personal injury claims under the WorkCover Queensland Act and Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act, Motor Accident Insurance Act andPersonal Injuries Proceeding Act. She also practices in criminal compensation. Rowena has over 4 years experience advising on and conducting personal injuries claims. Prior to joining Gouldson Legal in March 2008, Rowena was a Solicitor at Gilshenan & Luton where she worked in compensation and insurance litigation.

Kim Douglass, Solicitor
Kim is a solicitor, having extensive experience as a personal injuries/insurance litigation lawyer. Prior to joining Gouldson Legal in March 2008, Kim was a senior solicitor at Shine Lawyers managing and conducting files involving workplace injuries.

Roslyn Clark,Solicitor
Roslyn obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree at QUT and has also completed a Bachelor of Journalism at University of Queensland prior to her law degree.
After completing her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law, Roslyn was admitted as a Solicitor on 2 November 2009 with her main area of expertise being personal injuries law including motor vehicle accidents, medical negligence, public liability and WorkCover common law claims.

Andrew McCarthy, Solicitor
After an extensive career as a Registered Nurse, Andrew studied law and was admitted in 2001 in both New South Wales and Queensland. Andrew offers experience in medical negligence matters, utilising his medical practice background to strengthen his legal knowledge. He has personal injury litigation experience in: WorkCover claims (work accidents), Car accident claims, Public place accident claims and Medical Negligence. Given Andrew’s nursing career and having dealt with people in crisis, along with his personal maturity, equips him with a broad outlook to achieve excellent outcomes in clients’ claims.
